MICHELE DEL CAMPO. STREET STYLE AL ÓLEO.

Os quiero presentar a Michele del Campo, un pintor italiano que se matriculó en Bellas Artes en la Universidad Completense de Madrid ( donde yo estudié ) pero que actualmente vive y trabaja en Londres. Su trabajo es fantástico, está lleno de color y de detalles tan cuidadosamente logrados que lo hacen algo vivo, real . Increíble.
El más puro STREET STYLE pero al óleo.

I want to introduce Michele del Campo, an Italian painter graduated in in Fine Arts at the University of Madrid Completense (where I studied Literature) but living and working in London. His work is fantastic, so full of color and detail that look real. Awesome.
The purest STREET STYLE but painted in oil. This is the new online gallery he just launched where you can buy his wonderful works. Can you imagine one of them at home? I´ll love it.

ONE T-SHIRT & TWO LOOKS

Hoy ( a pesar de la lluvia) os traigo la idea  de llevar  la misma camiseta( de Mango) pero en diferentes outfits y así ver como cambiamos de look usando la misma prenda. 
El primero es más rockero con leggins y sneakers  y el  segundo más " boho chic" con jeans blancos, también de Mango (y que tengo que decir que se ajustan como un guante ya que de la talla 38 no se pasa a la  talla 40 sino que los sacaron también en la talla 39 que es definitivamente la mía), cuñas y sombrero. Ya me diréis cual os gusta más. A veces antes de lanzarnos a comprar podemos darle alguna vuelta más a lo que tenemos y crear combinaciones nuevas 

¿ No os parece? Qué paséis un día creativo.

Today, in spite of the rain I bring an idea that has come out by chance. While I was looking some pictures  I realize that I was wearing the same shirt from Mango but in different outfits and I thought  to put them together and see how we can change the look with the same garment. The first look is more rock with leggings and sneakers and the second most "boho chic" with white jeans, also from Mango that fits like a glove with  black wedges and hat.  Let me  know which one you like more. Sometimes before rushing to buy new clothes, we can  create new combinations with the one we already have.

INSPIRATION DOLCE & GABANNA

 En una semana ha cambiado el tiempo terriblemente. Parece mentira que estos outfits y fotos fueran de la semana pasada. Hoy está lloviendo a mares. Me acabo de dar cuenta con el blog de lo  fugaz que parece todo. Lo importante es vivir cada día en su plenitud. De todas formas los posts de la semana pasada que tenía preparados los voy a poner y así me sirven para despedir oficialmente el verano 2012. Los llamaré Bye Bye Sweet Summer.

Within a week, the weather has changed terribly. It seems incredible that these outfits and photos were from last week. Today it's raining buckets. I just realized with the blog  how fleeting everything seems. The important thing is to live each day to its fullest. Anyway, I'll put the posts  I had prepared from last week and it will served to officially dismiss the summer 2012. I will call them

 Bye Bye Sweet Summer. 

 Siempre me ha atraído de Dolce & Gabanna ese profundo aire mediterráneo que emana de sus colecciones, sus estampados tan vivos, la maravillosa ubicación de sus campañas y sobre todo la mujer que representa. Esa inspiración vital de los pueblos del Mediterráneo. Este es mi pequeño homenaje a esa idea desde el pueblo de Andalucía donde vivo. La falda, la camiseta y los complementos son de Primark pero no hay duda de la influencia de D&G en el estampado de la falda.

I have always been attracted to the Mediterranean flair from the collections of Dolce & Gabanna, its prints, the wonderful location of their campaigns and especially the women it represents. Inspired by the Mediterranean culture and life. This is my little tribute to that idea from the Andalusian town where I live. The skirt, shirt and bracelets are from Primark but have no doubt been influenced by D&G.

 Un tinte y un corte de pelo para sanear el pelo después del verano. Sé que da un poco de cosa pero me gusta hacerlo para volver a estrenar melena sana después de tanta playa y piscina.

 Siempre crece, verdad? 

Hice una foto antes de ir a la peluquería y otra al salir para ver cómo cambiaba.

  ¿Y vosotr@s, cómo lleváis eso de cambiar vuestro look en cuanto al cabello se refiere? 

Sois lanzadas o ni hablar del peluquín, nunca mejor dicho. 

Definitivamente, cuesta más que cambiar de vestido, pero...

Llevo mini de Stradivarious y t-shirt de Berska.

  I went to the salon to get my hair cut and dye my hair. I like to do that after summer beacuse it´s good for my hair.

 Definitely, change hairstyle is harder than to change clothes, but ...

" PREPPY LOOK"

El look preppy se empezó a escuchar gracias a que Ralph Lauren lo volvió a poner otra vez de moda; en realidad hace referencia al look que llevaban los estudiantes americanos en los años 40 y 50 que atendían a escuelas de alto nivel económico ( las llamadas"prep schools" de ahí su nombre, "preppy") . Un look de niña bien que aunque no es mi estilo me resulta divertido jugar con esta inspiración.Yo he elegido una faldita de vuelo de lunares, un collar - cuello y bolsito de Primark con  unas cuñas rosas, sería más apropiado una camisa o un polo pero yo he prefiero una camiseta rockera para darle un toque más rebelde. 

Un look perfecto para entre otras cosas, ir a devolver mi libro a la biblioteca.

The preppy look came back again with Ralph Lauren, actually the idea come from the look of the  upper-class North American students in the 40´s and 50 ´s who were attending  expensive prep schools  (hence its name)." A good girl look" that is not my style but I find fun to play with . I´ve chosen a polka dots skirt, necklace- neck and a little bag with pink wedges.

A perfect look to go to return my book to the library.

TOP SHOP DRESS

El otro día de vuelta de correos (acababa de mandar la barbie cumpleaños a mi querida sobrina por su cumple, ¡qué monada, con su gorrito de papel y todo! y a pesar de que tiene un cesto lleno se le ve tan feliz cuando abre un paquete y se encuentra con una que no me pude resistir, para eso es la infancia ¿no? bueno, pues  me encontré con este cactus gigante y pensé que era perfecto para enseñaros el nuevo vestido que me compré en el Topshop de Manchester este verano. Lo he combinado con un collar de Primark de cruces, que seguro me habéis visto y por supuesto, mis sneakers rojas, para mí ahora son como los zapatos mágicos de Dorothy del Mago de Oz, me los pongo y me dan una energía increíble. La bolsa que no se ve muy bien es también de Primark y pone Love por todas partes. Que es exactamente lo que os mando desde este rincón del mundo.

The other day  coming back from the post office ( I´ve just sent "the barbie birthday" to my dear niece for her birthday, so cute, with her little paper hat and all! and despite she have a basket full of barbies she looks so happy when she opens a package and finds one that I could not resist). Well, I came across this giant cactus and thought it was perfect to show you the new dress that I bought in Topshop in Manchester this summer. I've combined with a necklace from Primark and my red sneakers, now they are like the magic shoes of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz , I wear them and  they give me an incredible energy. The bag is also from Primark with the word Love everywhere, which is exactly what I send you from this corner of the world.

291 VENICE FALL-2012 AND ABBY BROTHERS

INSPIRATION. 291 VENICE  FALL - 2012. MODEL ABBY BROTHERS

Me encantan las imágenes de Abby Brothers en la campaña de otoño de la línea de moda californiana 291 Venice. Representa a una mujer con espíritu libre, muy femenina pero sin necesidad de tacones. Un estilo casual, chic con un toque rebelde.  En cuanto a  la combinación de colores para esta temporada me quedo con la del negro y rojo, el negro y gris  y  la del azul marino con ese color fantástico que es el burdeos, ya sea en tops  como en vaqueros.

Definitivamente un look  to rock  este otoño:

Camiseta + Collar + Pantalones de cuero + Botines + Sombrero.

I love the pictures of the fall campaign from the Californian fashion line 291 Venice. Represents a woman with a free spirit, original and very feminine without heels. Casual, chic with a hint of rebellious. Regarding the color scheme for this season I´m in with the combination of  black and red, black and gray and navy with the fabulous burgundy, either in tops or  jeans .    

Definitely, a look to rock  this fall :

THE BEST OF EVERYTHING

Los días de pleno verano van desapareciendo y vemos como, poco a poco, se van posando en nuestra memoria, convirtiéndose por arte de magia en recuerdos. Aquí, en el Sur donde vivo, aunque soy de Madrid, las tardes son placenteras, ya no hace tanto calor y el agua del mar está mejor que nunca, así que bajarse a nadar un rato, leer o ver atardecer  resulta una opción perfecta. Llevo puesto, sobre un triquini que compré en un viaje a Marrakech, una camisa verde militar de Mango, unos vaqueros de H&M, dos tallas más grandes para que queden más holgados y mis sneakers rojas.

 Desde aquí dejadme recomendaros un fantástico libro que estoy leyendo " Lo mejor de la vida" de Rona Jaffe . El tono de la novela es maravilloso, fresco, dulce, ingenioso, sin darte cuenta te  metes en los sueños, miedos de estas jóvenes mujeres, secretarias, editoras  y su lucha por  intentar crearse un  sitio en el intimidante y excitantante Nueva York de los años 50. Mucho antes de que Carrie de "Sexo en Nueva York" o  Serena de"Gossip girl "existieran, estaban Caroline, April, Mary Agnes, Gregg, Barbara.

Estoy encantada de que me queden aún tardes deliciosas con estas valientes mujeres que intentaron ir detrás de sus sueños, aunque fueran difícil de alcanzar. 

 The days of  hot summer are disappearing and we see how little by little they are posing in our memory and magically they turn into memories. Now, in the South where I live, but I'm from Madrid, the evenings are pleasant and not so hot and the sea is better than ever, so get off for a swim, read or watch sunset is a perfect choice. I'm wearing on a triquini that I bought on a trip to Marrakech, a military shirt fromMango, jeans from H & M, two sizes bigger for a looser fitting and  my red sneakers.

  From here let me recommend you a great book I'm reading " The Best of Everything" by Rona Jaffe. The tone of the novel is wonderful, fresh, sweet, witty, without realizing you get into the dreams and fears of these young women, secretaries, editors and their struggle to create their space in the intimidating and exciting New York of the 50´. Long before Carrie from "Sex and the City" or Serena from "Gossip Girl" there  were Caroline, April, Mary Agnes, Gregg, Barbara.

 I am glad, I still  have some delicious afternoons with this brave women living in a totally diferent time who tried to go after their dreams, even if it was hard.
