Coincidí en Manchester justo
el fín de semana que llegaba la increíble ola de frío a Europa aunque me
recibió un precioso día soleado. Es una ciudad fantástica no sólo para los
amantes del fútbol sino también para los amantes de las compras. Cuenta
con unos extraordinarios shopping centers como Arndale Center o
The Triangle al lado de una gran noria. Puedes encontrar tiendas vintage
de música y ropa en el Northern Quarter. Manchester
es fantástica para ir a teatros, clubs de comedia como el "The Comedy Store" , a galerías de arte tales como "Urbis", el "Museo de Arte de Manchester", "The Lowry
Galleries"... y encima son gratuitas,
o a conciertos en el MEN Arena; salir a comer o a cenar a la muy
asequible y genial ChinaTown o a su famosa "curry
mile" cerca de la
Universidad, tomarte una pinta en cualquiera de sus fantásticos pubs (modernos o
clásicos) o simplemente recobrar fuerzas después de una tarde de
compras en el Marks and Spencer con
un capuccino y un scone.
Cada vez que voy me gusta más.

Music: The Pogues- Dirty Old Town
I was in Manchester the weekend that the incredible cold wave reached Europe. It is a great city not only for football fans but also for shoppers. It has some extraordinary shopping centers such as the Arndale center or The Triangle Center, next to a big wheel. You can find music stores and vintage clothing in the Northern Quarter. Manchester is great to go to theaters, comedy clubs as "The Comedy Store," art galleries like "Urbis", "Manchester Art Museum," and "The Lowry Galleries" and they are free or go to concerts at the MEN Arena, going out for lunch or dinner at the great ChinaTown or maybe to the "curry mile" near the University, sip a pint in any of his fab pubs (modern or more classic) or simply regain strength after an afternoon of shopping at Marks and Spencer with a cappuccino and a scone.
Every time I go I love it more.

El segundo día fui a ver las rebajas a Primark. En esta ciudad, hace ya más de 5 años fue donde lo descubrí. Desde entonces me encanta por sus precios y sus complementos, ya conozco el de Belfast, Glasgow y ahora el nuevo que han abierto en Málaga. Pero éste es mi preferido e inmenso con 4 plantas.
Al salir,¡ qué sorpresa me encontré! la ola de frío que anunciaban en toda la prensa ( pero que yo no había notado ya que el día anterior había hecho sol) había llegado. Parecía una postal navideña. ¡ Qué mejor excusa para ponerme inmediatamente el sombrero negro que me acaba de comprar, y sólo por 3 euros).
The second day I went to see the sales of Primark. I discovered Primark in Manchester 5 years ago. Since then, I love it for its prices and its complements, I know already one in Belfast, in Glasgow and now the new one opened in Malaga. But the one in Manchester is huge and my favorite with 4 floors.
Upon leaving, what a surprise! the cold wave that it was all over the papers ( although I did not notice because it was sunny the day) it had arrived. It was snowing ! It looked like a Christmas card. A good excuse to wear, immediately, the black hat that I´ve just bought, and only for 2 pounds.

Manchester es una gran ciudad para ir de compras también por lo fácil que es moverse. Todo está alrededor de Market street con su parada de tranvía en medio. Toda una gran selección de tiendas "hight street shops"como se refieren a ellas ( para diferenciarlas de las tiendas de los diseñadores establecidos ) como las españolas Zara y Mango ( que adoran), la tienda Next más grande de Europa, T-KMEX que venden ropa de marca a muy buenos precios, Urban outfitters, Miss Selfridge, Debehanms...y por supuesto también la de los grandes diseñadores. Los nuevos diseñadores están los sábados por la mañana al lado del hotel Sachas en el " Manchester Fashion Market". Gente joven con mucho talento.
Manchester is a great city for shopping and so easy to move around. Everything is in the proximity of market street with its own tram stop. There are a great selection of shops such the spanish Zara and Mango or Urban Outfitters, Miss Selfridge, Debehamns, the largest Next in Europe, T-KMEX that sell designer clothes at great prices and of course, the shops of the great designers. New designers are in Manchester Fashion Market on Saturday mornings, close to Sachas hotel. Young people with a lot of talent.

Seguro que basado en un modelo de Burberry Prorsum, ya que meses atrás había visto uno en la revista
H Magazine que me encantó y que es igual a éste. Si quieres comprobarlo pincha en la revista y ve a la página 49 y decidme qué pensáis. Pues lo encontré en Primark por casualidad, parecía que me estaba esperando. No podía creer mi suerte y encima rebajado 50 euros del precio original.
Sure based on a model for Burberry Prorsum because some months ago I had seen one that I felt in love with in the magazine H Magazine and it was quite similar to this one. If you don´t believe me click on the magazine and go to page 49 and tell me what you think. Well, I found it in Primark by chance, it seemed that the coat was there for me. I could not believe my luck and lowered by 40 pounds.
Ya os enseñaré la próxima vez las compras que hice de la nueva colección como un vestido de estampado pañuelo y otras cosillas.

Si os apetece hacer una escapada a Manchester hay vuelos baratos con easyjet y ryanair. También puedes ir a Liverpool, que a veces sale más bárato y coger un bus desde el mismo aeropuerto y por sólo 10 libras y en 40 minutos estarás detrás de Market street y el gigantesco Arndale shopping center. Seguro que disfrutas de la amabilidad de los " mancunians", nombre que se les da a sus habitantes.

If you feel like getting away to Manchester there are cheap flights with easyjet or rynair. You can also fly to Liverpool which is sometimes cheaper and take a bus from the airport to city centre Manchester and in 40 minutes and for
only 8
pounds you will be dropped off near Market Street,just behind the Arndale Center.
Sure you will enjoy the friendliness of the"Mancunians" the name given to its inhabitants.
